Why Cosmetology
Cosmetology (Greek word: Beautifying) is the study and application of beauty treatments. Beautification is being practised right since ancient times. Even in the ancient civilization (dug from Harappa civilization), various ornaments made of bones and stones were found. In today’s era, with the use of modern, scientific techniques, cosmetology is practised. For example, Cleopatra was known for her beauty and clear skin because she used ass’s (an animal belonging to the horse’s family) milk with many herbs added to the mixture. This skincare method is still used today in the form of various peels like lactic acid peels, glycolic peels, etc. with various chemical peels, mesotherapy and skin rejuvenation techniques.
This can be expanded into multiple parts including cutting and chemically treating hair, chemical hair removal, fashion trends, wigs, nails and skin care, skin and hair analysis; relaxation techniques including head, neck, scalp, hand and feet basic massage and aroma therapies; plus ability to expertly apply makeup applications to cover or promote and can expand into further specialties such as reflexology; theatrical applications; cosmetics and others as listed below.

The main part of cosmetology includes the use of botox and fillers, which are an effective tool against anti-aging. Botox is used to reduce wrinkles on the face, whereas fillers are medicines injected the hollow parts of the face where there has been fat-loss; for example under the eyes or nasolabial fold. These fillers are Hyaluronic Acid (HA), a natural component of skin, which is manufactured in labs, and is available as pre-filled syringe. HA has a unique ability to absorb and retain water molecules, giving the skin a hydrated and youthful look.
The whole concept of cosmetology is to give a more presentable look as per one’s need of the client. This gives their confidence a boost, thus improving their productivity.
